Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-09-17
DineCard values your privacy. This policy explains the information DineCard may process in the current version, its purposes, third-party services, and the controls available to you.
1. Information we process
- Location information: DineCard uses foreground location only after you grant permission, to provide nearby restaurants, distances, and maps. The current version does not request background or “Always” location permission.
- Anonymous app identity and security information: DineCard uses an anonymous Project/DineCard Principal and necessary security credentials to provide server features, determine entitlements, deliver rewards, verify purchases, and prevent abuse. This is not an email address, social account, or public personal profile.
- Restaurant and search information: Personal restaurant cards, collections, and search information in the current V1 are primarily stored locally. Necessary requests are sent to the backend or third-party services only when a feature requires them.
- Purchase and transaction information: If you purchase or restore App Store products, DineCard may send Apple-signed transaction proofs and necessary transaction identifiers to its backend to verify membership, Remove Ads and Token entitlements, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and prevent duplicate redemption of a transaction.
- Advertising and device information: DineCard uses Google Mobile Ads to display banner, interstitial, and voluntary rewarded ads. Google may process device or advertising information according to your region, consent choices, and its service settings. DineCard does not currently claim or request cross-app tracking through its own code.
2. How we use information
Information is used only for reasonable purposes such as providing DineCard features, search and nearby restaurant experiences, entitlement and purchase verification, advertising and consent management, security, fraud prevention, duplicate-transaction prevention, debugging, and compliance with legal obligations.
3. Third-party services
DineCard may use Apple App Store / StoreKit, Google Maps, Google Mobile Ads / User Messaging Platform, and infrastructure such as Supabase. These services may process information under their own privacy policies.
4. Advertising and privacy choices
In applicable regions, DineCard uses Google's User Messaging Platform to obtain necessary advertising consent and provides privacy options when the SDK determines they are required. If you see inappropriate or age-inappropriate advertising, you can report it through the Report Inappropriate Ads page.
5. Account / Principal deletion
You can request deletion in the app through “Settings → Account and Data → Delete My Data” (「設定 → 帳號與資料 → 刪除我的資料」). After successful deletion, DineCard deletes the deletable Principal and its associated server information and clears the current credentials and session on the device.
Deleting your DineCard account or data does not cancel an Apple subscription or delete your Apple ID. If you have an auto-renewable subscription, cancel it separately through Apple's subscription-management page.
6. Necessary security retention
To prevent refunded, revoked, or redeemed Apple transactions from being reused, DineCard may retain minimized transaction-replay / security identification records after account deletion. These records are used only for security, fraud prevention, refunds, or dispute handling and do not retain unnecessary personal content from the deleted account.
7. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide features, maintain security, meet legal or tax requirements, handle refunds or disputes, or prevent fraud. Deletable information is removed through product features and deletion processes. Necessary minimized security records may be retained longer to prevent the same transaction from granting entitlements again.
8. Children
DineCard is not specifically designed for children below the legal age. We do not intentionally build personal-information collection features targeted at children.
9. Policy updates
If DineCard's information-processing practices change materially, we will update this page and its effective date. Public policies for app review and released versions should match the actual app, third-party SDKs, and production settings.
